The PIC Swine Biosecurity Standards Manual was developed for PIC multiplication units and gene transfer centers, although the downloadable manual can be useful for anyone working in pork production facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-enhance-swine-biosecurity-practices\"><strong>Enhance swine biosecurity practices<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The PIC Health and Biosecurity Team has worked with customers, stakeholders and industry experts to review and reformulate swine biosecurity standards to reflect the pork industry\u2019s ever-changing landscape of health challenges. The manual includes research-based recommendations for implementing swine biosecurity practices in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Swine facilities, including buildings, ventilation, pest-management practices and water sources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Live animal handling and swine semen handling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>People, including employees and visitors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Feed, transportation, manure management and
