Participate in continuous operational improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Work with coworkers and supervisor to effectively troubleshoot equipment and process issues.<\/li>\n<li>Understands the theory and concepts behind cell sorting technology and processes.<\/li>\n<li>Anticipates potential problems and takes preventative action.Requires judgment to know when it is necessary to consult with supervisor and\/or support groups.<\/li>\n<li>Understands how own actions impact others and uses this information in decision-making.<\/li>\n<li>Review documentation and check all calculations (e.g. tickets, labels, equipment reading).<\/li>\n<li>Maintain production operations on up to four instruments.<\/li>\n<li>Trouble shoot equipment and process problems.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with safety requirements, SOP and manufacturing documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Use of automation to perform production operations.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to Manufacturing to meet production demands.<\/li>\n<li>Operate automated systems for equipment operation.Assemble and prepare equipment for production.<\/li>\n<li>Provide detailed documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Provide regular communication (both verbal and\/or written) within Operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>The Candidate:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and\u00a0Experience:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School diploma or equivalent; Post-High School education in a production or laboratory trade program preferred<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a laboratory or equivalent production environment highly preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and respect for quality assurance.<\/li>\n<li>Basic math skills.<\/li>\n<li>Computer experience<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well within team environment.<\/li>\n<li>Display solid performance standards, be reliable and dependable<\/li>\n<li>Poses a valid driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Capabilities and Behaviors:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lives and displays the Genus ABS Values and behaviors at all times in their day to day ways of working.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain professional verbal and written communications with co-workers, internal and external customers, and vendors at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Be flexible with respect to job responsibilities and consistently strive to be an effective team member.<\/li>\n<li>Strive to advance your skills and display a willingness to accept future development.<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in Company training opportunities to further develop skills applicable to the department.<\/li>\n<li>Gain a thorough understanding of the Company\u2019s business and the department\u2019s role within the company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ideally, candidates have experience working in a global role for a company in the agriculture sector.<\/p>\n<h3>Who Are We?<\/h3>\n<p>Genus plc is a market leader in porcine, dairy and beef genetics and is uniquely positioned as a global player, with a dedicated, multi-species research and development (R&amp;D) function and an international distribution network.
