The South Dakota farm is currently home to 3,100 milking cows. Since the farm was built in 2005, Coatzee has made significant changes to better the operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over a year ago, pregnancy rates at Golden Dakota Farms were around 21% and Coatzee wanted to improve. The summer months were especially challenging, with pregnancy rates taking a massive hit every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking to improve herd reproduction, Coatzee made the switch to ABS. After the switch to a double ovsynch program, pregnancy rates jumped by over 10 points into the low 30s.
